Amanda Pinto

Chief Communications Officer

Amanda leads the team responsible for FaithActs’ strategic communications, media relations, and development work.

Since 2012, Amanda has served as a strategic communications leader in the field of educational equity. Throughout her career, she has specialized in creating impactful messaging that enables nonprofit organizations to tell their own stories. Prior to joining FaithActs, Amanda served in the Chief External Officer capacity for Achievement First, where she led communications and external relations to support advocacy, recruitment, fundraising, crisis communications and brand-building across 30+ schools in Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island.

Amanda began her career in community journalism because she wanted to use her expertise in writing and storytelling to effect positive change. As she covered education and general assignment beats at several Connecticut newspapers, she reported on deep inequities in our state and felt driven to make a more direct impact. Amanda graduated from Emerson College–where she was a Gold Key Honor Society member and the varsity women’s soccer team captain–with a Bachelor of Science in Print & Multimedia Journalism. She was born and raised in Connecticut and continues to live here with her husband and two kids.
