This year, Bridgeport voters will elect our Mayor, City Council, Board of Education, City Clerk, Town Clerk, and City Sheriff. The primary election for registered Democrats and Republicans is on Tuesday, September 10 and the general election for all registered voters is on Tuesday, November 5. Polls will be open from 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

  • Thursday, September 5 @ 11:59 PM: Deadline to register online to vote in the primary election

  • Monday, September 9 @ 12:00 PM: Deadline to register in person to vote in the primary election

  • Tuesday, September 10 from 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM: Primary election for Democrats and Republicans

  • Tuesday, October 29: Deadline to register to vote in the general election / 5:00 PM by mail / 8:00 PM in person / 11:59 PM online

  • Tuesday, November 5 from 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM: General election for all registered voters
